How Important Is It to Know the Exact Stage of Dementia for Providing Care
Dear Carol: It’s been nearly a year since my mom was diagnosed by a neurologist with early-stage Alzheimer’s. This doctor has left, but since she has her great primary care doctor who is in internal medicine, that seems to be enough for now. How important is it that we know the exact stage Mom’s in? Her days all seem different, so it’s not always easy to decide if she’s actually getting worse or if she’s just having an off day. Thanks for your help. – KW
