Caregiver Needs Help Preparing for New Doctor in Different Network
Dear Carol: Since my mother’s doctor is retiring, she’s going to try someone recommended by a friend. The challenge is not just changing doctors, which would be enough, but health networks. Mom is on traditional Medicare so we know her insurance will be accepted, but we still need to provide the new doctor with the most comprehensive and up-to-date information possible. There’s just so much to keep track of that I’m overwhelmed as I try to choose between what’s necessary, and what’s redundant. Is there a guide that I can use to help me prepare what I need without going overboard? – FA
