Happy 2025 to You All from Minding Our Elders!
On New Year’s Day I often think of how, as a small child, I’d revel in my new pointy crayons and fresh paper that I’d gotten for Christmas. Oh, they were lovely! Pristine and unmarred by use. It didn’t take long for my crayons to round with wear and my paper to smudge, but if I wanted to enjoy them, I’d have to use them. Wear and smudges would happen.
Wishing that for all of you today – the feeling of starting fresh. Soon, the wear and smudges of life will become apparent, but our imperfection is what makes us the unique, nuanced, beautiful humans we are.
Huge hug to you all and again, warm wishes for a Happy New Year!
