Dear Caregivers: For many of us, the start of a New Year seems like an opportunity for reflection and to consider changes that might enhance our lives. Yet, caregivers often see little room for change in that our focus is on helping vulnerable people, often with financial challenges and little practical help. We also tend to feel that anything less than perfection is somehow a failure on our part rather than due to the changing needs of our care recipient. Could this year be different? Maybe.
