Firstly, I want to say that there are many fine, and some outstanding, assisted living facilities (ALFs) – and we need them. Not everyone can be cared for well, or even safely, in the home. Not everyone wants to be cared for by even beloved family members. Therefore, this post is not meant to disparage ALFs.

That said, watch and listen to this exceptional, first-person account of life in an ALF by an intelligent, cognitively healthy gentleman who became disabled due to an accident.
