Family Caregiver Asks for Training to Support Increasing Responsibility
Dear Carol: I’m a business professional who will soon face caring for my aging father. Due to an ever-increasing number of physical and cognitive challenges, he can no longer live alone. I’ve applied for my company’s remote work plan and will move Dad in with me. Thankfully, I have made progress with his legal work, but there is so much more to his care. Is there such a thing as caregiver training? If so, how do I access this? I’d be willing to pay for information and support, but I’m also happy to hear about free resources. Any tips or ideas that come to mind are welcome. By the way, your column is a gem. Thank you for being there for us! – WR
