If You’d Like to Help a University Student Help Caregivers, Consider This Short Survey
Hello Friends,
For much of his life, this University of Wisconsin-Madison student has been involved with family members needing care. While still in high school, Aarya began working on an app that he felt could fill some gaps for caregivers. Now, as a university student, that app is near completion. Aarya sent an email asking me to provide information and feedback. Since I love helping students, it was an easy yes and we had a delightful conversation over Zoom. I left our conversation feeling extremely impressed by Aarya’s genuine caring as well as his enthusiasm.
This app would help people living with dementia engage in reminiscing and entertainment, while also allowing caregiver involvement. I envision not only family caregivers, but facilities using the app to enhance quality of life for the people they are supporting. A calmer, happier person needing care makes for a calmer, happier caregiver.
I hope some of you will take a few minutes to complete this survey, which will be used to further refine the app before its release. The survey is simple to complete and doesn’t take a lot of time.
Knowing how busy you all are, I wouldn’t ask if I didn’t think this was worthwhile. Thanks to anyone who can take a few minutes to help a student.
Big hug. You are also stars!
