Free Caregiver Training with Support from a Geriatrician and More
Caregivers are often thrown into an unknown world of medication management and handling cognitive challenges. With little or no medical training, this is both scary and challenging.
Now, Leslie Kernisan, MD, MPH, is offering two free caregiver training webinars to people who notice that their aging parents need some help now or will in the future. One webinar focuses on general help for your aging parents, and the other focuses on how to approach early memory loss and signs of cognitive changes. You can choose one or both – or neither.
If you choose to enter your email, you’ll receive Better Health While Aging articles about once a week. You’ll also receive an invitation to join the Helping Older Parents support group. This is a unique group that, in the past, was only opened up for enrollment about once a year.
Support from HOP includes live calls with Dr. Kernisan and, on alternating weeks, with geriatric care manager Michelle Allen. I facilitate the online group that includes some of the warmest, most helpful caregivers imaginable. That means I’m in and out of the group every day, multiple times a day, to offer support, encouragement, and resources. Dr. K and Michelle also chime in often, especially for specialized questions. That means if you have a question about your parents’ lab work or a medication, Dr. K will be helping you out.
If you choose to enter your email, understand that you won’t be spammed, and it’s easy to unsubscribe, but Dr. K’s free articles alone are enormously beneficial for all adults.
Check it out for yourself and share if you’d like at https://betterhealthwhileaging.net/hop-newsletter or go directly to free trainings.
