Caregivers, I’m here to tell you that you are incredible. You are enough.
Caring for a vulnerable person is daunting. We have to make decisions for them that are often a matter of quality of life, and can even mean life or death. If they can’t communicate their wishes, it’s on us. Preparing ahead with Powers of Attorney is wise. Communicating during normal conversations in ways that foster a willingness to plan for the future is excellent. Yet, no matter what, we’ll worry if we are doing enough. I’m here to tell you that you are incredible. You are enough.
What matters is that you’re there, doing what you can.
Sending you all a huge caregiver hug.
